Tom Hollins, Managing Partner
Flywheel Industrial Partners is led by Tom Hollins, a senior real estate investment professional with 20 years of experience, including 17 years as a principal investor in real estate and private equity, and 3 years in investment banking.
Mr. Hollins is responsible for over $1 billion in real estate transaction activity, including the deployment of $350+ million of fund capital across 40+ real estate investments, with capital invested on behalf of real estate private equity funds, family offices, and other institutional investors. Mr. Hollins has invested across the capital structure, including equity (JV LP, co-GP), preferred equity, mezzanine, B-notes, and senior debt.
From 2013-2021, Mr. Hollins was a Partner and led the Investment Team at Paragon Outcomes Management, a private investment firm with $1B of AUM, where Mr. Hollins launched and built the firm’s real estate platform. From 2021-2023, Mr. Hollins served as Managing Director and Co-Head of ECC Opportunity Fund at Emerald Creek Capital, focusing on opportunistic and value-add deals, primarily in the industrial sector.
From 2007-2013, Mr. Hollins was a private equity and debt investor at PineBridge Investments, with several investments in distribution and logistics companies, of which Mr. Hollins also served as a board member. Mr. Hollins began his career in investment banking at Wachovia Securities in the industrials group, with a focus on the transportation sector.
Mr. Hollins grew up in North Carolina and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Emory University in Economics.

Karim Rehmat - Founder, Kent Advisory
Karim Rehmat is Founder of a boutique multi-family office and wealth advisory firm, Kent Advisory, focused on alternative investing and legacy planning. The practice builds on his past 25+ years of managing and operating private equity funds, hedge funds and family offices as a Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Mr. Rehmat was Partner and Head of Operations for Centerfin Capital, a fintech in the wealth management space. Prior, he was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Paragon Outcomes Management, a private equity firm focused on real estate, real assets and credit. In the years preceding, Mr. Rehmat managed larger hedge funds, including D.B. Zwirn and HFR Asset Management and was a chief advisor to the President/CEO on a wide range of strategic topics. He began his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen. Karim is a Certified Public Accountant.
David Zakutansky - Chief Investment Officer, MS Transverse
Mr. Zakutansky is an investment executive with over 15 years of experience in principal investing across traditional and alternative asset class. He is currently the EVP and Chief Investment Officer at MS Transverse. Prior to joining MS Transverse, Mr. Zakutansky was a Partner at Paragon Outcomes. Mr. Zakutansky began his career in investment banking at BNP Paribas, and is a Certified Public Accountant (State of New York) and a CFA Charterholder.
Sumit Sharma - Head of Strategy, Research, & Sustainability at First Industrial Realty Trust (NYSE: FR)
Mr. Sharma is an established strategy leader within the industrial real estate sector and is currently the Head of Strategy, Research, and Sustainability at First Industrial Realty Trust, a publicly traded industrial REIT with a $7 billion market capitalization. Prior to First Industrial, Mr. Sharma was the Head of Strategy and Analytics for Duke Realty prior to the $26 billion merger between Duke and ProLogis, having previously served as an industrial REIT equity analyst for Morgan Stanley and Scotia Bank.
Marc Smouha - Founder, CorePoint Real Estate
Mr. Smouha is the founder of CorePoint Real Estate, a fully integrated real estate brokerage firm focused on uncovering off-market industrial acquisition opportunities nationwide and providing buyer, seller, landlord and investor representation, as well as other tailored real estate solutions. Previously, Marc was a Senior Broker at KSR NY, a national brokerage firm, where he led and expanded industrial sales across the Southeast U.S.
Simon Kroos - Industrial Real Estate Broker, NAI Ohio Equities
Mr. Kroos is an active industrial real estate broker in Columbus, Ohio, and focused on the representation of buyers, sellers, tenants, and landlords. Mr. Kroos also has prior brokerage experience at Grandstone, NNN Pro, and Newmark.
Christian Galanti - Managing Director, Emerald Creek Captial
Mr. Galanti is an is an experienced real estate private equity and debt investor and is currently a Managing Director at Emerald Creek Capital. Scott Beck - Owner, Rochester Student Housing
Mr. Beck is the owner of Rochester Student Housing, a real estate investment and development company specializing in providing high quality affordable off-campus housing to University of Rochester and Rochester Institute of Technology students. Since founding RSH in 2010, Mr. Beck has acquired and renovated over 100 single family homes and apartment rental units to provide off-campus housing for students within a short walking distance to campus. Mr. Beck maintains a strong focus on operational best practices within property management and construction management.
